Birth to Baby includes our three classes, Birth Your Way, Breast[Chest]feeding Basics and The Baby is Here..Now What?! Birth Your Way topics include: * Signs of labor * How to prepare your body and mind for labor * How do contractions change as labor progresses * How to cope with contractions through comfort measures * Typical hospital interventions * Typical pain medicines and when to use them * Common medical interventions including inductions and c-sections * Laboring and pushing positions * Typical postpartum procedures Optional topics based on group interest: * Home birth * Water birth * VBAC Breast[Chest]feeding Basics topics include: * Anatomy of the Breast * Latching and hand expression * Establishing and maintaining supply * Common breastfeeding issues and solutions * Bottle and formula feeding * Pumping basics The Baby is Here...Now What?! topics include: * What to expect the first 24 hrs * All the ways to sleep * Calming a crying baby (including but not limited to swaddling) * Newborn hygiene (diapering and bathing) * Postpartum care * Taking care of your relationship Classes run for approximately 2.5 to 3 hrs depending on how many questions students have. Cancellation Policy
To cancel and receive a full refund please contact no later than a week (7 days) before your class or series start date. Bookings canceled after the deadline will not receive a refund unless they can find someone to take over their spot.
